The Family Focused Positive Behavioral Support workshop will discuss a family-focused, community-based and culturally sensitive model of treatment for children with ASD and their families. Participants will develop new ideas about integrating family empowerment and community support across all facets of a clinic; have a better understanding of a multi-system, multi-agency, multi-community model of collaboration; gain an understanding of ways to measure the strengths and weaknesses of a collaborative model; learn about the interface between Family Focused Positive Behavioral Support, Medical Home and community-based, culturally-sensitive models; gain an understanding of sustainability issues involved in developing a clinical service model; and learn how to monitor the model for fidelity and how to evaluate outcomes of the model.
