As federal and state mandates for implementing evidence-based practices (EBPs) intensify, organizations are challenged with the implications. Which to use? How to make them fit? This presentation will provide an overview of evidence-based practices in children's services, and approaches taken by some state in establishing policies to implement them. Particular attention will be paid to the cultural and organization factors that influence the "uptake" of evidence-based practices in child-serving organizations.
